You bring my father again to me with these words, Winston. It’s a kind of a “bird lady” story, but the end of it runs along these lines: Without ever having seen the ocean, he pointed me in “that” direction, told me that when I get to the water, build a ship, and when I get across the ocean, burn the ship. The short version doesn’t work really, but when I get “on land” again, I’ll write the rest of the story. -mg
