Last night here in Nashville, Pat Summitt, coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols, won her 900th game in besting Vanderbilt’s Lady Commodores 80-68. Coach Summitt has won more NCAA basketball games than any other coach, man or woman, dead or alive. And she aint done yet! Congratuations, Pat! We’re so proud of you!

    OMG MaryB! Now that you have admitted a bias for the criminals who call themselves the Tide, I am forced to reassess your intelligence and integrity. At least you have the grace to recognize one of higher lifeforms which we call Summitt. Thanks for that!

    Sorry, Winston. I am compelled by sheer reason and loyalty to support ‘Bama, as I grad-ye-ated from the place . And that was so long ago that Bear was still alive and walkin’ on water. Ramma Jamma Yella’ Hamma’ . . .

    But I’m a big Tennessee fan otherwise. (Never Auburn. Never Georgia.) Georgia Tech’s OK.

    But mostly, I just ignore it all. I figure I paid my tuition, graduated and live a relatively productive life. What more do they want from me?
