Living With Our Mistakes…

It is totally impossible to live without making mistakes. One key to our growth is learning from our mistakes. One key to our character is the ability to forgive the mistakes of others.

A man who is afraid to make mistakes is unlikely to make anything. — John Cleese

You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t possibly live long enough to make them all yourself. — Sam Levenson

I was gonna say the same thing, Joel! Yep. Sometimes I seem to be the world’s Number One manufacturer of mistakes. Do I really need that much education, I wonder?

As I read this, the Cleese quote in particular, I was reminded of this recent post

by Ariel over at his blog, Bittersweet Blue.

Excellent reminder. Those who never make mistakes never take risks and what do those who never take risks accomplish…?

Thanks to all of you. And to JohnB, the link and the discussion going on there blew my mind. It quite aptly fits with another line of thinking I’ve been having. Good stuff there. Thanks!

Lots to think about in those quotations. I’ve made my share of mistakes and hopefully I have learned a little about forgiving. Now I am off to read
    what Ariel has to say.
