The Gospel According to Carlin…
There are three religious truths:
1. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
2. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.
3. Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters.

George has it all together, doesn’t he? I just love that guy.
I know a lot of Irish Catholics who have a lot in common with Baptists. Spend an evening drinking with someone in the pub, When they pass the wife/husband in the street the next day and “forget” they saw the other half the night before; it’s etiquette.
In answer to ainelivia’s comment, heck, I’m Irish and it is not that we politely “forget” we are prone to alcoholic black-outs and we often do not remember the night before.
Love George and his marvelous humor. Keep it coming our way, Winston.
I thought it only fair to let you know I’ve repeated this gem about 1,345 times in the past few days. Thanks for letting me borrow the wit.
