How Tall Is Your Ladder?
Molly Ivins, in her inimitable style, commenting on the Senate’s recent approval of a $3.2 Million per mile fence between Mexico and the US, quoted Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano:
Show me a 50-foot wall, and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder. .
Must be something in the air or water that gives those Southwest Democratic women such wit and insight. Or maybe it’s the hot chilis. Wonder why it doesn’t work on the guys…

Remember the iron curtain? We lived just a few dozen miles from it. It was a double wall with mines in between. Not many got across
I saw pictures of them building what appears to be a barbed-wire fence.
Everyone over the age of 5 knows how to get through those without a scratch.
i love molly..she is one of the smartest funniest people i know..she is the one i stole the “good hair perry” from…(aluding to our perfectly coifed governor)she writes for a bunch of different papers that i read only to read her..she is going thur some serious health problems now..chemotherapy for cancer..i pray for her daily…we need her ….
