From Greek chrestos (or khrestos), an adjective meaning “useful”, and matheia, “body of learning” (from manthanein, math-, “to learn.”)

Several blogs come to mind that might qualify for or serve as chrestomathies of their sector or the entirety of Planet Blog…

I have been reading the Jesus Papers and I have learned more new words …had to drag out my dictionary and continually keep checking to see whatt they mean.Mostly religion connected…but man, I love this book…I have
had to struggle so much with it as it is very detailed..but really have enjoyed it…might check it out…jac
I notice that you haven’t updated your blogroll to replace the old Sandhill Trek with the new, more metro-blogual “Listics.” Listics can be found at http://listics.com - you know this - and I am here whining and begging for you to tear down the link to the old place and support my move to the new.
