Crawlin’ On Down Da Road, Babe…

.
Thanx to JR at Noded South…
I’m anxious to try this at the office where BellSouth sez I should have 3 Mbps, though I’ve never clocked it at over about 2.5. Also at a customer’s site where I set up a 6 Mbps DSL link last week that actually clocked at about 8 Mbps. I could feel the difference in that one with my eyes closed, by the way my hair got windblown everytime I clicked on a link. Downloading the Microsoft updates for Windows Server 2003 was almost a pleasure… almost…
BellSouth sez copper crawlers will have 12 Mbps DSL available in the Nashville market soon, and those served by glass will be able to get 24 Mbps. That is 24 million bits per second. My first modem, not that many years ago was a genuine Hayes 1200 bps jobbie that set me back a half-months salary. That was cooking!
Later: Oh, yeah! This was the result at the office with BellSouth’s advertised 3 Mbps DSL. Rockin’! I think I’ll keep it…

y’know, that look quite cool.
So I took the test.
And my results?
Ha! I wasn’t kidding when I said I was a tech idiot. I have no idea what it really means. lol.
FYI:My tacho is near the bottom of my right sidebar.
I’d love to say something here, but technical stuff sends me into orbit.
