Ah, Winston, I think the Fingers of the Night stole the “L” from your last word there :-(

Oh those Platters! Twilight Time…I love that song.
I think the rest of that verse is….as day is done.
I could be wrong, but I think that’s it. Do I pass?

Don’t know. Rings no bells - in spite of being over fifty.

Thought there would be more response to this one. Other folks either stayed home, had no clue and did’nt want to embarass themselves, or just didn’t give a damn. I vote for the latter…

Joy, you and I are alone on this one - not bad company from my standpoint - and you are correct all the way around. Yes, dear, you pass with flying colors.

I get here a bit late, but do lurv the Platters. Worked a few times with Herb Reed, the bass singer, in the Boston area (over thirty years ago). I also had a girlfriend once, who did the Zola Taylor bit in a touring group. The manager and song writer of the original group, Buck Ram, hung onto the name rights, and sent various groups of the Platters off on tour under the name. I think the original members got to sell themselves as their own name plus the Platters (Herb Reed & The Platters etc.).

I’m not quite 50 yet, but I did recognize the song quickly. Why? Because it was featured on an episode of the X Files! lol Now I have that song stuck in my head! Could think of much worse earworms than this :)
