Hmmm. Do I smile and laugh and just move on un-commentingly, or do I just sit back and say, You know, for me this summer, every day is Saturday?

Eh, I think I’ll just move on.

(Actually, this hits pretty close to home today. Just yesterday, my wife (who works at a call center with a dress code and whose sole contact with customers is over the phone) was asked by her manager if she had “another pair of shoes she could wear”–she was wearing closed-toe Croc-like shoes, and/but co-workers regularly wear open-toed sandals. Strange how dress codes sometimes muddy the waters more than clarify them.)

    Thank goodness some days aren’t!

But if you think about it, are we really ever choosing what we do, or are we bound by societal constraints? Just a thought : )

    Amen, Brother.
    This is M-F for me.
I try to smile through it all.
