But, What Of Artificial Stupidity?
Reader Bonnie sent this with a nice note saying, “Saw this and thought of you.” Hmmm… What made her think of me? Artificial? Hopefully not. Intelligence? I claim an average portion, no more, no less. She associates me with church? Not likely. I exhibit signs of natural stupidity? Well, I do, but not out in the open for all to see. Not intentionally anyway. But maybe that’s it. Only Bonnie knows for sure…

Good one, Bonnie. It would have made me think of you too, Winston.
This from a church which proposes Intelligent Design?
For a long time when I first started visiting your blog I was under the impression it was called Artifical Intelligence.
So that’s probably why Bonnie thought of you.
Q: What’s the difference between intelligence and indifference?
A: I don’t know and I don’t care.
…Smile…
I’ve always been enamored with Winston’s “Center for Artificial Indifference” header, wished I had thought of it. I thought of him when I saw this sign because of the numerous possible interpretations including meaninglessness.
It’s hard to understand which particular evangelical line of “thought” this marquee sign is in support of.
Perhaps it means that the naturally stupidest person created by the almighty is smarter than the best of artificial intelligence. Espousing “natural law” here, I suppose.
But, then, it’s a church, so it probably don’t mean nothin’.
