Choices…

MAD Magazine I found this little jewel over at Joared’s Along The Way:

How come we choose from just two people for President, and fifty for Miss America?

She found it on a Wikipedia page dedicated to Alfred E. Neuman’s quotes. If you are old enough to say, What, Me Worry?, raise your hand.

You kidding? I actually have that issue of Mad (December 1956). First issue with Alfred on the cover, if I remember correctly.

Upon reflection, I understand why Mad Magazine never appealed to me. The best way I can explain is to say I never liked sight gags, and cannot watch sitcoms.

Mad Magazine was hilarious. We only got them once in a while and would read them over and over.

Seems like I’m kind of always saying negative-sounding things or taking a contrarian position. I do not do it intentionally, just being myself and having a desire to participate, I guess.
